Johanna Herrmann graduated in process engineering at the Technical University of Graz (Austria) in 1993. She worked in France and Italy mainly in the local engineering departments of an international corporation in the automotive sector on projects for optimization of existing processes and plants, as well as developing new and variant constructions. Subsequently she joined the EPO (European Patent Office) as a Patent Examiner focusing on the fields of pumps and compressors, temporarily also car seats. She quit the EPO in 2001 for a position as patent engineer in an automotive supplier in the area of the manufacture and assembly of plastic parts.
Johanna Herrmann joined Sulzer Patent Department in January, 2006.
